The fish consumption fell slightly from 60 grams to 48 grams during the 25 years.

The graph and table present information about global water use by sector and water consumption in Brazil and Congo in 2000.

 

It is clear that the water for agriculture, industrial use and domestic useincreased during the 100 years.

 

In the graph,the water used in agriculture increaseddramatically from 500 Km3 in 1900 to 3000km3 in 2000.During the same period, the water consumptionof industry rose steadily by 950 km3.The waterfor domestic usegrew slightly from 25 km3 to 350 km3.The water consumed in industry and homes remained constant at 50 km3 and 25 km3 respectivelyover the first 30 years.More water was consumed in agriculture than industry and householdseach year.

 

In the table, water use forBrazil was 359 m in 2000, which was over fortyfold of that in Congo. Meanwhile, the population of Congo was merely 5.2 million and the area of irrigated land was 100 km, which were both much smaller than those of Brazil.

 

Overall, water use per person in Brazil was much bigger than that in Congo, even with a greater population.
