Download data from new EOSDIS system

    The EOSDIS is a powerful system to search and order NASA EARTHDATA. I find that the EOSDIS system has been updated when I visit in early 2017. The new system brings a concept "application", which refers to diferent function. But I can not login in using my account when I order my serch data. An error occurs, however I can not see the tip. It really bother me for a long time. Finally, I find the cause. In the new system, we must firstly add the related application "LAADS Web". Then the order is available. Note that this application need oganisition in your profile. The official guide can be found on https://ladsweb.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/profile/login/ and described as follow.

Step 1:

Register for an EOSDIS user account through the EOSDIS User Registration System . If you already have an EOSDIS user account, continue to the next step.

Step 2:

If you have not already authorized your URS profile to access LAADS then please do the following:

• Log in
• Click on "My Applications" on the top toolbar
• Under "Approved Applications" click "Approve More Applications"
• Search for LAADS Web
• Click "Approve"
• Leave all checkboxes checked and click "Authorize"

Once complete, you should see the message, "Application 'laadsweb' has been added to your applications."

Step 3:

Enter your EOSDIS login information below.
