 Aquilani's agent : "More time to decide"

Juventus officials are willing to keep Alberto Aquilani and sign him from Liverpool on a permanent basis for 7 million Euros before his loan spell ends on June 30. However, the Reds want 16 millions. A final decision has not been taken yet as the two clubs are still negotiating. A deal was supposed to be agreed upon a few days ago, but there is a delay.

On the subject, Franco Zavaglia (Aquilani's agent) told Italy's Radio-Radio earlier today : "Juventus and Liverpool are still trying to find a solution for Aquilani. I think that a decision will be made in 48 hours. We have to wait and see what develops".

Two options for the left-back position

Juventus club officials are in need of an additional left-back and might soon pursue two of the most highly rated players in that position.

The first option is Palermo left-back Federico Balzaretti. The 30-year-old is not for sale at present, but things could change by August.

The other option is Genoa's Domenico Criscito (24), who is for sale.

Both left-backs previously played for Juventus and are now widely considered as the best ones in Serie A.

Swap with Palermo planned

Juventus officials are planning to approach Palermo soon with the aim of signing right-back Mattia Cassani in exchange for striker Amauri.

The secondary options to Cassani are Stephan Lichtsteiner (Lazio) and Andreas Beck (Hoffenheim).

 

Interest for a Seville player

In an interview with Spanish online newspaper ABC de Sevilla on Saturday, Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta revealed : "I am interested in FC Seville's Argentine winger Diego Perotti. If his club officials are ready, I can meet with them and talk business one day".

In a televised interview with Sportitalia on Friday, Silvano Martina (the agent of Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon) stated : "Contrary to some media reports and ongoing rumours, Buffon will remain at Juventus for at least two more seasons. There are no doubts about his future at the club".

Pirlo said : "My contract was up and moving on for new challenges was the best thing to do. The decision was supported by AC Milan's club board, we agreed on this together. We parted ways amicably and without any problems. I won everything with AC Milan and it would be nice to win more titles with Juventus before I retire".
