The fox and the grapes

A hungry fox saw some fine bunches(大量) of grapes hanging from a vine(藤，葡萄树) that was trained(被修剪) alone a high trellis(架子),and did his best to reach them by jumping as high as he could into the air. 

But it was all in vain, for they were just out of reach。so he gave up trying, and walked away with an air of dignity(尊严) and unconcern(冷漠，不关心),remarking说道, " I thought those grapes were ripe(熟了), but I see now they are quite sour."

 all in vain:      一切都是徒劳

out of reach：遥不可及

walk away：  走开

walked away with an air of：带着一种。。
