apt-get install E: Encountered a section with no Package: header

今天新装 Ubuntu GNOMEN 13.10 

进入系统  #sudo apt-get update 的时候出现了如下错误。

Reading package lists... Error!

　　E: Encountered a section with no Package: header

　　E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/ftp.sjtu.edu.cn_ubuntu_dists_precise-security_restricted_binary-i386_Packages

　　E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

不知道是什么意思，但是在google下还是搞定了。

记录下解决方法。

1sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf

2sudo apt-get update

然后就可以

# sudo apt-get upgrade
