docker install on ubuntu 16.04LTS

docker install

1、 uninstall old docker version

sudo apt-get remove docker docker-engine docker.io

2、install using the repository

2.1 update the apt package index

sudo apt-get update

2、2 install packages to allow apt to use a repository over https

sudo apt-get install \    apt-transport-https \    ca-certificates \    curl \    software-properties-common

2、3 add docker’s official GPG key

 curl -fsSL https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu/gpg | sudo apt-key add - sudo apt-key fingerprint 0EBFCD88

sudo add-apt-repository \   "deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu \   $(lsb_release -cs) \   stable"

sudo apt-get updatesudo apt-get install docker-ce

verify docker ce is installed correnctly by running the hello world image
