Overcrowded transport and airport queues top the list of frustrations experienced by people travelling on holiday.

在人们的度假体验中,路途过于拥挤和机场排长队位列“度假烦恼榜单”之首。

A poll by a consumer body found the journey to and from their destination as the main gripe followed by difficulties getting between home and the airport, port, train or coach station.

某消费机构开展的最新调查发现,人们抱怨最多的是往返于自己家和目的地之间的交通,接下来的是从家中到机场、港口、火车站或汽车站的麻烦。

Of the 5,003 consumers surveyed, more than half (53%) had no frustrations with any aspect of their holiday experience.

For those who holidayed in the UK, the satisfaction level increases with 60% finding no reason for complaint.

But this still leaves 2,300 people who did have grumbles, and more than a third of these mentioned the journey to and from the destination.

“The most common Web-related grievance was the issue of hidden costs or surcharges not shown in the original price, followed by the fact that booking online took too long,” it said.

For those using an operator or agent to book, common problems included the final cost being more expensive than expected, unclear terms and conditions and unhelpful staff.”

For those flying on holiday, the biggest concerns were uncomfortable airline seats and delayed or cancelled flights.

Lengthy airport queues, poor food outlets and delays at baggage reclaim were also highlighted.

One of the most common complaints was that visitor attractions were overcrowded, badly managed or had long queues, according to the study.

Extra charges levied when picking up a hire car on holiday was also highlighted as an annoyance.

另外一项令人恼怒的事,是在度假租车领取车辆时被收取额外费用。
