原来我不明白为什么男生会喜欢看《生活大爆炸》，看了这个我懂了。。。

 

我们的传统观念中，一直都有“男理工，女人文”这样一个角色划分。在现实生活中，学理工出身的男士的确不少，却经常因为没有生活情趣或者不懂制造浪漫而被女朋友埋怨。不过，在近几年，这个趋势好像有点逆转了。“理工男”似乎在一夜之间成为了万千女性追逐的目标。他们到底有哪些特征呢？

Science geek refers to a group of highly intelligent men who majored in science and technology. They boast（有（引以为荣的食物）） extensive scientific knowledge, love high-tech inventions and challenging computer games, and are curious about life. However, they may lack some common sense in regular relationship with other people.

“理工男”指学理工科出身又拥有高智商的那么一群男士。他们的理工科知识面很广，热爱高科技发明，喜欢挑战电脑游戏，同时对生活充满好奇。不过，他们在人际交往方面似乎缺少一些必要的常识。

The heroes in the American TV drama "The Big Bang Theory" might be the most typical representatives of this group. They play 3D chess, create Row-Sham-Bow that is much more difficult than the normal one，and do various experiments that are totally unknown to the world.

美剧《生活大爆炸》中的几位主角应该是“理工男”群体的最典型代表。他们玩立体国际象棋，玩增加了N个难度级别的剪刀石头布，做各种莫名奇妙的试验。

 

办公室的“技术达人” alpha geek

 

自从电脑成了我们工作和生活中的必备工具，电脑技术人员就自然而然地成了众人“追逐”的对象。死机了，中毒了，或是系统不灵光了，都得求“技术大哥”们帮忙，难怪他们都被称为alpha geek呢。

Alpha geek refers to the most technically adept（专家）, knowledgeable person in a workgroup or office.

Alpha geek（技术达人）指办公室里技术掌握最多、最娴熟的人。

Those who study apes（猿） call the dominant member of the group the 'alpha male.' In the office or workplace, the most technically knowledgeable person often is called the alpha geek.

研究猩猩的人们通常会把猩猩群中处于主导地位成员称为“头号雄性”。由此，在办公场所，最懂技术的人就常常被叫做“头号高手”（即我们所说的“技术达人”）。
