职场英语八--转达

1.
sb.(from)...called to/for...
......的......致电来......
这里是要转达某人致电时所使用的句型。要特别说明致电者的公司或是
部门等资讯时，可在from的后面加入。要说明致电者的目的时，后面可用不定式接续动作。
而要说明致电者要找某人时，则用for接续要找的对象。
Mr.Bowen just called to confirm the conference tomorrow.
Stanley from the sales department called for you 5 minutes ago.

......想要知道.....
这个句型是在转达他人的需求。也可以用在转达他人来电的内容。
句型后面通常可直接加名词使用，或接续以疑问代词who,where,which,when,what
,whatever,how,why等引导的名词从句。

Vanessa wants to know the title of your article.=
Vanessa wants to find out the title of your article.

Patricia wants to know when she has to arrive for the opening.

Fiona wants to know who else will join the party.
Fiona wants to find out who else will join the party.

Peter wants to know what he needs to prepare for signing up the English class.

Carol wants to know if she can still apply for the position now.

......要你致电/准备......
这个句型是用来转达他人要对方所执行的动作或准备事项。
Anna wants you to call Mr.Efferson to reschedule the meeting.

Mr.Willson wants you to prepare some small gift to give out on Christmas.

4.
sb. wants me to pass sth. to...
......要我来......
除了传达讯息或转达指示之外，偶尔也会有被派遣到其他地方执行工作的情形。
这个时候便可以使用这个句型来向对方表示，自己是由谁所派来，以及要执行说明工作。
Mr.Peterson sent me to pick up the broken machine.
Mr.Robinson sent me here to see if there's anything I can help.
