fedora10 与宿主机设置共享文件（VMware workstation 7.0.1）

Fedora10设置与宿主机共享文件

 

安装好内核镜像为fedora10的linux系统，最好安装虚拟共享工具，以便是虚拟机上的linux系统更好的访问宿主机的资源，安装方法如下：

Install VMware Tools in a Linux Guest 

Before you begin, make sure the virtual machine is powered on and the guest operatingsystem is running.

To install VMware Tools in a Linux guest

On the host, selectVM > Install VMware Tools.

If an earlier version of VMware Tools is installed, the menu item isUpdate VMware Tools. If the current version is installed, the menu item isReinstall VMware Tools.

On the guest, log in as root.

If your Linux distribution does not automaticallymount CD-ROMs, mount the VMware Tools virtual CD-ROM image.

If necessary, create themkdir /mnt/cdrom/dev directory differently. If your CD-ROM drive is not /mnt/cdrom, modify the command to reflect the conventions used by your distribution.

Change to a working directory (for example,cd /tmpvmware-tools-distrib directory.

The location of this directory depends on where you placed it during the previousinstallation. Often it is placed intar zxpf /mnt/cdrom/VMwareTools-.tar.gz

The value<yyyy> is the build number of the product release.

If necessary, unmount the CD-ROM image.

If your Linux distribution automatically mounted the CD-ROM, you do not needto unmount the image.

Run the VMware Tools installer.

Respond to the questions the command-line wizard displays on the screen. PressEnter to accept the default value. The configuration file,pvscsi,vmxnet3 Linux kernel modules.

If you reload the modules, networking on the virtual machine is interrupted.

Enter the following commands to restore the network:

Log out of the root account.

(Optional) Start your graphical environment.

In an X terminal, to start the VMware User process, enter the following command:

To change the default VMware Tools configuration options, seeOpen the VMware Tools Control Panel. 

 

 

现在补充三点：

1，安装完还不能共享文件 需要重启系统

2，重启后 如果已经共享文件后  但是在/mnt/hgfs里面看不到共享文件的  需要共享文件后  reboot系统

3，如果第二个还不行的 共享文件后 在重新安装vmtool 这样应该没问题了
