RedHat Enterprise Linux Server 5.2安装VMware Server 1.0.7

在RedHat Enterprise Linux Server 5.2上安装VMware Server 1.0.7

 

1、安装前的检查工作

  A.全部GCC包都要安装

  B.libXtst-devel和libXrender-devel，这2个包要安装

  C.xinetd这个包要安装(并且这个服务要设为开机自动运行)

  注：执行yum install 相关rpm包名即可，如果yum无法安装，请参考本博的另一篇yum配置的文章。

2、下载安装包并安装

  下载后执行:rpm -ivh VMware-server-1.0.3-44356.i386.rpm，开始安装

3、配置(仅对重要参数进行说明)

  执行vmware-config.pl开始进行配置，基本上是一路回车，个别重要选项需要注意一下，以下为配置过程中的全部输出，加红色需要重点关注：

至此，VM SERVER 1.0.7已经安装完毕，可以通过console进行虚拟机的安装

重启vmware服务的命令是:

/etc/init.d/vmware restart
