由[[e-mail]]邮件列表风波想到的

         作为一个中国人，我真的感到很痛心。邮件列表作为一个技术交流的平台，理论上加入的人应该都是有一定水平，一定素质的。

         可[e-mail]上的许多仁兄在收到诸多邮件时，竟然像泼妇骂街一样，群发有损中国人形象的邮件。现转贴一张我刚收到的邮件：

不想收到邮件，那还不好办，直接退定不就结了。作为一个技术人员，难道连退定邮件列表都不会么？

         事实上确实有许多人不知道如何退定邮件列表，他们试图直接发送标题/内容为“退定”的邮件给[e-mail]，而且这样的人数为数不少。

         其中某些仁兄实在看不下去了，便发了封中文的MAIL到邮件列表，说明应该如何退定邮件。可这样的措施几乎没有起到任何效果，许多的人仍然效仿某些人荒唐的退定方法，发送中文的“退定”。

         真的很悲哀：官方的邮件发过来时，一般都会在邮件的底部附上如何退定邮件列表的方法，只是几行简单的英文而已，难道现今的中国程序员就这么一种水平么？即便不认识英文，中文总该认识吧，可许多人发出的中文版的退定邮件列表的方法也没有起到多大的作用。这些人应该不算中国人了吧，因为他们连中文都不认识。

          作为一个技术人员：不认识英文，不认识中文，不知道如何自己找解决问题的方法，那么他还能做什么？

do not send them to the list address! Instead, send
your message to the correct command address:

To subscribe to the list, send a message to:
   <[e-mail]>

To remove your address from the list, send a message to:
   <[e-mail]>

Send mail to the following for info and FAQ for this list:
   <[e-mail]>
  < [e-mail]>

Similar addresses exist for the digest list:
   <[e-mail]>
   <[e-mail]>

To get messages 123 through 145 (a maximum of 100 per request), mail:
   <[e-mail]>

To get an index with subject and author for messages 123-456 , mail:
   <[e-mail]>

They are always returned as sets of 100, max 2000 per request,
so you'll actually get 100-499.

To receive all messages with the same subject as message 12345,
send an empty message to:
  < [e-mail]>

The messages do not really need to be empty, but I will ignore
their content. Only the ADDRESS you send to is important.

You can start a subscription for an alternate address,
for example "[e-mail]", just add a hyphen and your
address (with '=' instead of '@') after the command word:
<nbdiscuss_zh-subscribe-john=[e-mail]>

To stop subscription for this address, mail:
<nbdiscuss_zh-unsubscribe-john=[e-mail]>

In both cases, I'll send a confirmation message to that address. When
you receive it, simply reply to it to complete your subscription.

If despite following these instructions, you do not get the
desired results, please contact my owner at
[e-mail]. Please be patient, my owner is a
lot slower than I am ;-)
