Making AWS Simpler to Access and Use

The AWS Management Console provides a point-and-click web interface for Amazon Web Services. Log in using your AWS account name and password. If you’ve enabled AWS Multi-Factor Authentication, you will be prompted for your device’s authentication code. No need to look up and enter your Access Key and Secret Key.

Amazon VPC Features

Use the AWS Management Console to set up and configure your Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). A simple wizard will assist you in creating your VPC and subnets, and will also help you establish IPSec VPN connectivity to your VPC. Once your VPC has been created, use the AWS Management Console to configure DHCP option sets, subnets, and to launch Amazon EC2 instances within your VPC.

Amazon CloudFront Features

AWS CloudFormation Features

The AWS Management Console for AWS CloudFormation gives you an even easier way to provision the AWS infrastructure resources needed to run your application. Describe the AWS resources you need to run your application in a simple text file called a template and AWS CloudFormation takes care of the provisioning. A few simple clicks in the AWS Management Console and your AWS resources will be created.

AWS Storage Gateway Features

With the AWS Management Console, you can easily manage your gateway’s iSCSI storage volumes and snapshots. You can also configure snapshot scheduling, manage software updates, or apply a bandwidth throttle on data being uploaded or downloaded from Amazon S3.


Storage Volumes
Create and manage your AWS Storage Gateway’s volumes. Once created, these volumes can be mounted as iSCSI devices to your on-premises application servers, enabling you to seamlessly store your application data locally, while uploading backup snapshots to Amazon S3.


Snapshots
Manage and delete your backup snapshots stored in Amazon S3. All data uploaded to Amazon S3 by AWS Storage Gateway is stored as Amazon EBS snapshots. You can view these snapshots on both the AWS Storage Gateway and Amazon EC2 Management Consoles, and can use the appropriate console to restore these snapshots to either AWS Storage Gateway or Amazon EBS storage volumes.


Gateway Configuration
You can use the AWS Storage Gateway Management Console to easily provide your gateway with additional working storage to buffer your data before it’s uploaded to Amazon S3. You can also manage when the AWS Storage Gateway service can deploy important updates and software patches to your local gateway.


Amazon Simple Workflow Service Features

Developers can use the AWS Management Console when building and running applications using Amazon SWF. They can view complete, fine-grained details about ongoing and retained workflow executions with the ability to filter by time, execution status, ID, type and tags. The console helps them drill down into workflow executions and zoom out to look at categorized information. This helps with debugging and troubleshooting. The console also provides aggregated metrics about workflow and task executions and additional insight into task backlogs.
