UAT Plight: Fail To Refresh Database

In the past couple of days, we've been making efforts to get the UAT environment ready. Tragically,  our database support failed to restore the database with current real data in production environment, we tried twice.

First time, after the time-consuming restoration, everything looked fine, however, couple of hours later we found that there was a table having more than129m records, biggest table I've ever seen,astonishing anyway! whereas the table in production environment had only no more than 0.7m entries. Huge difference! Nobody here including environment supporter could explain this!

Another action we took was executing exp command to export the newly refreshed data in order to backup production data, however, we encountered some kind of Oracle error when exporting the 129m-records table. More worse,a wealth of tables disappeared, which confused us totally.

Shit happens! After the second restoration, the disappeared tables didn't come back, who could explain this?

The truth has been found: small table didn't become large table, we took another database as UAT environment for mistake. But I still believe that exported file from production environment is corrupted as we have much few tables in current UAT.
