This command reports the infomation bout X-incorporation. After theinstallation, it should report *.12*. It means the X build 12 isinstalled onto the box.
It is not used for checking whether X start up correctly or not.

If you want to check whether X start up, run "ps -ef|grep X", to checkwhether Xorg process is there or not.
BTW: jdstest27 doesn't have video card inside, so usually Xorg processis not there.
