ubuntu12.04下安装以及对thunderbird参数配置

    在ubuntu下一直想用thunderbird来收发邮件，不过，由于工作很忙一直没有时间来安装和配置thunderbird. 最近一段时间由于工作有些空闲，安装和配置了thunderbird.

    以下是自己安装和配置thunderbird的一些体会，希望对有需要的朋友有个借鉴：

1.  thunderbird的安装

    由于thunderbird在ubuntu12.04 software-center是支持的。如果没有安装thunderbird,可以在命令行输入安装：

$ sudo apt-get install thunderbird

这样就可以安装thunderbird

2. 对thunderbird参数配置

( 1) 首先打开thunderbird，会弹出邮件设置窗口, 通过Edit->Account Setting......->Account Action->Add Mail Account......->Mail Account Setup，输入:

    You name: xxxxxx

    Email Address: xxxxxx

    password: xxxxxx

(2) 设置好以后，点击"continue" 选择“IMAP(remote folder)”->点击Manual config, 设置好以后->点击Advance config, 此时，一个账户就设置好好了，就会进入Account Setting。

(3) 接下来最关键的几步，也是最重要，决定是否连接到服务器成功(很关键)。

    a. 点击“server setting”, 设置：

       i. server type: IMAP mail server

          server name: mail.xxxxxx.com(很关键)          Port: 143(很关键)

          User name: xxxxxx

      ii. security setting:

         Connection security: None

         Authentication method: Password, transmitted insecurely

    b. 点击“Outgoing Server(SMTP)”->点击"Edit......"，出现SMTP server窗口

      i. Setting

         Description: xxxxxx

         Server name: mail.xxxxxx.com(很关键)

         Port: 25(很关键)

     ii. Security Authencation

         Connection security: STARTTLS

         Authentication method: No authentication

    至此, thunderbird参数配置成功，连接上就可以收发邮件了。很方便。
