    truancy  n.逃学，旷课　　　     --- His truancy was a constant problem

    die for 好得愿意为之付出生命    --- Jason is to die for.   I'll do anything to go out with him.

   关于die for , 在2007年8月20日的旺旺语音报上也出现过：

　　　The girls will be dying for us. 女孩子会为我们发狂的.(或译的更轻佻一些：小妞们会爱死我们的)

     The night is young. 夜晚才刚开始呢。这句话不是真的代表时间早晚，而是跟人表示夜晚的活动才刚开始，不要急着走

2.  今天Shen Zhen Daily 的头版头条是：

   Buying HK Stocks to be easier. 买香港的股票更容易啦

 Shenzhen residents will in two weeks be able to open an account at the local branch of the Bank of China to invest in Hong Kong securities, Chinese-language media said yesterday.

深圳居民将在两周之内可以在本地的中国银行支行开一个香港证券帐户，来自昨天中文媒体的报道.

 我猜对啦，securities果然是"证券"的意思，而security是"保证"的意思. 的确有点奇怪, 中国的证券市场叫做stock market, 而香港叫Hong Kong securites, 好象美国证券交易所叫stock exchange.　有空得研究一下它们区别在哪.
