plan to create a project in sf.net

to be a truly volunteer for opensource, the first thing is that i should own a open source project. that will push to do much for opensource.
so i make up my mind to create a project in sf.net. this project is to provide a chinese office file format filter (UOF) for Openoffice.
I plan to spend one year to complete it.
Some things should be propared:
1) the license used in this project: LGPL.
    print out this license, read through this paper tonight.
2) study UOF
3) study ms word 2003 filiter.
