So I bought Warlords Battlecry 3 from Dotemu, and I was having a problem with invisible characters. I found 2 ways to fix this issue.

Two ways to fix it:

First you can download the unnofficial patch that will get rid of the invisible character problem. You can get the patch here:

Or, you can impose a memory limit in Windows described in another thread I made here:

Some don't like third party patches, unless they are completely necessary , so the memory limit is another easy way to fix this problem.

 And there you have it, invisible characters revealed once again!

Vampire Bloodlines Blurry Texture Fix #1 [Thu, 09/29/2011 - 07:19]

I bought Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines, and it turns out that on newer computers, the textures can come up blurry because of the amount of memory installed on the computer. Apparently if there is more than 2 Gigabytes of memory installed, the textures can be blurry because the game uses the lower resolution textures, which is just what I got.

The fix, while really easy and simple, isn't a permanent one, but a temporary one you can use while you play the game. You can lower the memory amount that Windows uses, so the game thinks the computer has less memory than it really does.

If you get blurry textures in Windows 7, here is how to fix it:

Go to Start menu

In Search Programs and Files, type in "msconfig" then press enter

This will open the System Configuration

Click the "Boot" tab at the top

Click "Advanced Options"

On the right side, there is a "Maximum Memory" option, check the box next to it

Now type in 2000 for the new number

Click OK

Click Apply back in the System Configuration menu

Click OK, and restart the computer

Now the game will use the higher resolution textures, and the game will look so much better. This is what worked and fixed the blurry textures for me.

To reset your memory, so Windows uses it all instead of the limit you impose, simply remove the checkmark from the "Maximum Memory" option and restart the computer.
