混在美国和加拿大，和洋人打交道，这几个词出现的频率非常之高，想学不会都十分困难

1. pretty much － almost, almost all，几乎，基本上。
The development tools they're using are pretty much illegal copies.
他们用的开发工具基本上都是盗版。

2. straight-forward － easy to understand; 直接了当的，很好理解的
To insert a table in a word document should be pretty straight forward.
在word文档里加个表格应该很容易，很直接。

3. "Fair enough." － "I agree because it sounds right or reasonable."
"I may have to finish my assignment next class. Is it OK?" "Fair enough."
我下堂课做完作业可以吗？ 行。

4. on a regular basis; on a daily basis; on a monthly basis; etc.
on a regular basis 意思说一件事情定期发生。
on a daily basis 每天发生，可以把daily替换成monthly, yearly, weekly
My computer freezes up on an hourly basis.
我的电脑每小时死一次。
He changes his girlfriend on a monthly basis.
他每月换一个女友。

5. 有很多词可以替换yes
比如："You bet." 这个适合用在想都不用想的场合。  "Can I turn on the air conditioner?" "You bet."

比如: "Exactly." 尤其是当对方说出了你想说的话时，用这个词最合适。
"My boyfriend told me IBM used to manufacture the best laptops."
"You mean Thinkpad?"
"Exactly!"

6. 相信大家都知道很多可以用来替换“good”的词。
我觉得口语中目前用的最多的是awesome
