WINDOWS操作系统是最著名的操作系统，除了WINDOWS以外，还有其他的操作系统，LINUX就是一种操作系统。

LINUX的中文读发是“丽那克斯”，最早的LINUX系统是由荷兰的一位大学生编写并发布的，由于LINUX最早是免费的，所以原始版本的LINUX被世界各地的爱好者和编程人员进行修改和完善，还得到了IBM等公司的支持，到今天已经是一个比较完善的操作系统并开始用于服务器等商业用途了。

因为最早的LINUX是免费的，所以现在有很多不同的版本，有些是服务器版本的，有些则是家用版本的。不过因为软件的兼容性问题，LINUX在家用操作系统的份额是非常小的。
