1. 我沒聽清楚。

(X) I didn't listen.
(O) I didn't catch that.

這句話會造成很大的誤解。I didn't listen.是「我沒在聽」。真的指耳朵沒聽到，可以用I didn't hear you. 但多半情況是，我聽到了，但不懂你的意思，這時候用catch ，意思是「抓到」別人想表達的東西，也就是「聽清楚」別人所說的話。

注意了，聽不一定就是listen或hear，例如，我想聽懂CNN，這個聽其實是懂，用understand CNN。

2.沒問題，就這麼做吧！

(X) No question. Let's do it.
(O) No sweat. Let's do it.

No sweat表示「沒問題」，跟No problem用法和意思都差不多。sweat的意思是「汗」，如果有人請你幫忙，你沒流汗就把事情搞定了，代表這事比較容易。question中文也解成問題，但是疑問的意思，No question是沒有其他問題想問了。

3. 別管這件事。

(X) Don't mind this.
(O) Stay out of this.

告訴別人，這沒你的事，不要去介入，可以用Stay out of this. Mind雖然有看照著、管著的意思，但I don't mind. 是「我不介意」，有另一種含義。

4. 我不怕冷。

(X) I am not afraid of cold.
(O) The cold doesn’t bother me.

冷熱是用來形容人們對天氣的感覺，怕冷用bother即可。中文說，我不怕冷、我不怕熱，讓人直接聯想到afraid，但be afraid of 後面加的名詞通常是令人害怕的東西，例如：蛇、蟑螂、鬼等等，例句：Are you afraid of ghosts?（你害怕鬼嗎）

5. 今天（電影）演什麼？

(X) What’s playing today (in the theater)?
(O) What’s on today (in the theater)?

play的確是扮演、表演、上演的意思，但是多以人做為主詞，像某人扮演某種角色。英文裡提到電影或節目上演多用介系詞on來表達。
