Description

Concurrent index range-scan initializations can lead to contention on the"cache buffers chains" hash latches due to latch upgrades. This can show as high "shared hash latch upgrade" statistic countsand high "latch free" wait events, and in extreme situations, excessive CPU consumption withoutany user-SQL activity.
