SCO-UNIX在ＶＭＷＡＲＥ下的安装

一.download sco-unix:
从ftp://218.76.24.242 download一个OpenServer507的iso版本
download SCSI adapters drivers for SUN:http://www.alfa.com.au/supports/mylex/scsi/multimaster/DrvScoOS5.zip并解压，将生成 unix.exe和unix.txt。插入一张空软盘，先格式化软盘,如果没有.在DOS提示符下输入：format a: ,再输入:unix a: 做好一张BTLD安装盘.(如果没有这张软盘及安装btld则会出错:
ERROR:
No root disk has been detected.Cannot proceed verify that your hardware configuratior has a disk attached and configured as the primary disk.

二.创建 vmware for sco-unix:
打开vmware v4.05.
New Virtual Machine-->下一步-->Typical-->下一步
-->other-->下一步-->下一步-->Use bridged networking-->完成
三.增加scsi硬盘:
edit virtual machine settings-->hardware .add-->下一步-->hard disk-->下一步
-->create a new virtual disk-->下一步-->下一步-->advanced-->scsi 0:0 hardsisk1
-->完成(这一步,不要也可以.只是我从网上download了一个sco-unix for vmware
,看里面有scsi,so...)

四.cdrom for iso:双击cd-rom1-->use iso image:iso文件路径.-->OK
此时硬件为:硬盘1(scsi 0:0) 硬盘2(IDE 0:0) cdrom1(ide 1:0) 软驱1为使用驱动器A:
五.start this virtual machine
六.按f2更改cmos为cdrom启动
七.出现
SCO OpenServer(TM) Release 5
boot
:
在出现Boot提示符后,
输入：restart mem=1m-128mlink="blc" Sdsk=blc(0,0,0,0) Srom=wd(0,0,0,0)
回车，开始安装
八.中途会提示你插入软盘
Loading kernel symbol table,this may take a few minutes
Please insert the fd(65)blc volume and pres <Return>,
or 'q' to quit:
插入刚才做的软盘,回车即可。
九.出现
Please enter
'r' if you wish to try replacement
'a' if you want to use character magor 6 [default]
or 'q' to quit:
时，选择a,回车。
十.出现"Press <Enter>to begin installation"
回车
十一.continue
十二.accept(接受协议)
.accept above choices(根据cdrom的类型,我是默认的)
.OK
.keyboard:采用US English.
accept above choices
.input License number: and License code:
accept above choice
十三.全新安装Fresh
.oK,正常安装的一些选项如电脑名等
十四.出现
Please select the floppy device you are using:
(1) /dev/fd0
(2) /dev/fd1
时，选择2再选择b (Abort BTLD load, but continue installation)。
出现安装进度，直至重启,将顺利进行余下的安装过程。
中间会出现如下错误:

选continue继续
到这里说明你的安装已经结束了，但是这个时候你的UNIX还是不能从光驱启动，因为BT－958的驱动还没有被安装进核心里。
要想能从硬盘启动还必须要把SCSI的驱动装到操作系统核心里去,第一次重起还需要使用光盘或软盘启动.
十五.重新启动虚拟机
出现boot：
mem=1m-128m
回车，系统将检查内存空间，再次出现boot提示符后
fd(64)unix link="blc" root=hd(42) swap=hd(41)。
回车，系统启动，
稍后系统会提示插入btld驱动盘，插入刚才做的软盘,回车。
出现
Please enter
'r' if you wish to try replacement
'a' if you want to use character magor 9 [default]
or 'q' to quit:
时，选择a,回车。
当出现进入多用户还是维护模式的选择时输入安装时设定的超级用户密码，进入维护模式(maintainance mode)，
千万不要进入多用户模式。接下来出现系统命令提示符，在命令提示符后输入：
#mount /dev/fd0135ds18 /mnt，挂接软盘文件系统
#btldinstall /mnt，系统将安装SCSI驱动到核心里去。
选blc
--> Do you want to replace it with the version in blc? Y
--> Do you want to preserve the host adaper configure information? N
--> 下面一路为y，直至命令运行结束回到提示符。
以上把bt－958的驱动安装到核心里去，然后重起，正常的话，就可以从硬盘启动了
安装完成后，关掉虚拟机，重启。
在重启时，进入Vmware的BIOS，将系统启动顺序设置为从硬盘启动，而且要设定已经安装的SCSI硬盘为
第一个启动硬盘。现在系统就已经能从硬盘启动了。

十六、安装完成后，每次重新启动系统时，要使用haltsys或shutdown命令，不要使用reboot，以免死机。
