-Dmitry Lagun, Emory University (很多best papers.)

System

可参阅 SOSP 2013 和 计算机系统领域顶级会议。
-Frans Kaashoek MIT PDOS (Parallel and Distributed Operating Systems) group，主要方向：operating systems, networking, programming languages, compilers…可上课程主页看相关课程资料！在OSDI和SOSP中发文数很高！
-Robert Morris， MIT PDOS group，主要方向：system software for multi-core machines, storage systems.
-Barbara Liskov， MIT PMG (Programming Methodology Group) leader, 2008年图灵奖得主，主要方向：distributed systems, object oriented databases, programming languages, and software design。
-Miguel Castro，MIT PMG 毕业后去了微软，主要方向：distributed systems, networking, and security。
-Hari Balakrishnan MIT NMS (Networks and Mobile Systems) group，主要方向：wireless network, internet architecture and protocols, network security, and networked systems。

-Yuanyuan Zhou，University of California San Diego, Opera (Operating Systems Research on Energy, Reliability and Autonomy) group发了很多篇SOSP, OSDI等，跟学生一起创办了Pattern Insight。主要方向：system dependability, concurrency/multicore, data mining, machine learning, storage system, power management, distributed shared memory。当中有很多我感兴趣的work。

-Kai Li，Princeton University,本人很厉害，也带出了很多厉害的学生，包括上面的yuanyuan zhou。
-Larry Peterson，Princeton University, 建立了PlanetLab Consortium 和 MeasurementLab platforms。

Security

-Lorenzo Cavallaro, University of London, Information Security Group (ISG), senior lecturer，专攻security方向，Coursera上开课 —— Malicious Software。文章主要会议：DSN, EuroSec, RAID, DIMVA, etc.
-Christopher Kruegel, University of California, International Secure Systems Lab, 该实验室基本上每年都会中一篇CCS，值得关注！
-Giovanni Vigna，UC Santa Barbara，organizer of the International Capture The Flag (iCTF) —- world’s largest hacking competition, co-director of Security Lab，paper集中在USENIX Security上, WWW, CCS等TOP会议，同时，是上面iSeclab的成员之一。
-Wenke Lee, Georgia Tech, Director of the Georgia Tech Information Security Center (GTISC)，多篇大作，产出量很高。PhD之一，Yacin Nadji。
- Hao Chen, UC Davis副教授，主要方向computer security,主要集中在手机安全，中了多篇mobisys。

另，美国最大的三家安全软件公司： McAfee (“卖咖啡”)， Symantec（“赛门铁克”）， Trend Micro （“趋势科技”）。
