从 RFC Editor 网站中可获得 RFC。该网站目前由信息科学协会 (ISI)（该协会发布一个对所有 RFC 进行分类的列表）的成员来维护。RFC 按如下标准之一分类：获得批准的 Internet 标准、建议使用的 Internet 标准（以草案形式发行以供审阅）、Internet 最佳操作或者仅供参考 (FYI) 文档。
