Modeling and Animation

Animated Still Life

This tutorial, intended for those new to 3ds Max, offers a quick introduction to the world of 3D while you play with some traditional elements of art. Using basic features of the program, you’ll create a composition of an orange and an apple, a windowsill and wall, a bottle and a knife. You’ll also add lights and a camera, and view the scene from different angles. The final steps introduce you to some basic animation.

 

Animated still life

 

When you learn to paint, you start with a still life, perhaps a bottle and some fruit arranged on a table. In this tutorial, you’ll make a “not-so-still life” that is animated.

 

The idea for this tutorial was taken from the Salvador Dali painting “Nature Morte Vivante,” in which the traditional elements of a still life are painted flying through the air. You’ll use the same idea for your first animation project in 3ds Max.

 

Skill Level: Beginner

视口控制

Mouse.right.chick->ActiveViewPort

任意状态下 Mouse.right.enter->exit this state

navigation controls 状态机

State->Action

1) Active      高亮显示TOOL图标->显示状态图标->显示navigation 标志

2) Disactive  取消高亮显示TOOL图标->隐藏当前状态图标->隐藏navigation 标志

 

zoom 缩放

1)  任意状态下     Mouse.Wheel.drag

2)  zoom状态下 Mouse.left.drag.left|right

Arc Rotate  弧形旋转

Arc Rotate状态下移动鼠标显示orc

orc组成(圆形)

中心部分         控制任意角度旋转

4                控制均衡超4个方向旋转

Tip: Avoid pressing outside the yellow navigation orb, unless you want to roll the entire viewport.

movement

1) Mouse.middile.chick->enter

2) Pan.mouse.left.chick->enter

Original orientation

1) Keyborad.SHIFT+Z

viewport display

Menu.Select.Smooth + Highlight

Keyborad.F3

 

CreatingCamera

Createpanel.Camerastab.Chick->clickTarget

Press CTRL+D 取消选择相机

Right-click the Front viewport to activate it. Then press C on the keyboard.

Select Camera dialog.show
