Numerous Marriages These Days

Numerous marriages these days partly contribute to assigning used houses in our university just for married teachers recently. Some young teachers merely gain the marriage certificates now and prepare weddings later. My roommate XiaoHe is a case in point. According to her words, the cheap used house in campus can be rented to students if they don’t live there.

   Today, I took part in a wedding of my colleague. The bride is his fellow-townsman and works in logistics group of our university. The wedding was pretty good and full of lively atmosphere.

   On our way back, some of us sighed with deep feelings. Mr. Liu said the conventional and inelegant marriage meant the end of freedom. He said to some extent he had been weary of his girlfriend’s frequent telephone. Fortunately she didn’t work in Baoding. There was so much trouble that he hankered to work in different city from his girlfriend all the time, taking into account his less freedom when they live together.

   At first thought, what a pessimistic opinion! When we think it in detail, some words are understandable, but it depends on themselves. If the two can communicate, understand and encourage each other, share bitter and sweet, how can the feeling of restriction and uncomfortable life emerge?
