WebSphere Application Server V6.1版本、介质及安装总结

最近在自己的笔记本电脑上安装和实验WAS，最开始使用的版本为8.5.5.x；

但是电脑的配置不高，主要是物理内存只有6GB，要开多个VM做Cluster的话，运行非常缓慢，基本上跑不起来。

考虑到6.1是一个经典的版本，除了Liberty，其与8的差别不大，做Cluster应该可以。

6.1已经EoS了，其介质在公网上基本找不到，而且其版本也划分为几个，不同的平台/操作系统上的介质也不一样，

下面列出其主要的版本和ND（Network Deployment）版在Windows平台上的介质：

至于什么trial,community,hypervisor,zOS，一开始搜索WAS版本和资料的时候，在这些信息上浪费了大量的时间和精力，感觉是非主流，不清楚是干嘛的，也不想了解。

此时真的想问问WAS的产品经理，搞这么多版本干什么，我们、至少是我被折腾得够呛！！！

8.5.5.x要稍微改善点了，基本上一个安装包就OK了，安装介质有2GB左右、比较大，但是对比占用一点磁盘容量和宝贵的时间，是非常值得的！
