One of the biggest benefits of jailbreaking your iPhone is customization. Here are the best new iOS 9 Cydia tweaks for this month.
iOS is becoming more and more customizable, thanks to Apple adding new features with every update. However, the mobile operating system still isn’t quite as customizable as you might want it to be, which is why jailbreaking is an option to consider.

Of course, jailbreaking is at a standstill right now, as there isn’t a jailbreak for iOS 9.2. The latest version that can be jailbroken right now is iOS 9.0.2, and while many jailbreakers are sticking with that version right now, not everyone is still on iOS 9.0, making it difficult for just anyone to jailbreak their devices.
Hoever, if you are jailbroken and are looking for some new iOS 9 Cydia tweaks to try out, here are some that are worth checking out.
1、Seeker
If you constantly use the seek slider to scrub through music, then Seeker might be a tweak that you want to try out.
As the developer puts it, Seeker is a “fully-featured extension of Apple’s native audio ‘scrubbing’ or ‘seeking’ implementation within the control-center and lockscreen and integrates seamlessly into iOS.”
One cool feature is Live Seek, which continues to play the audio while you seek so you know exactly where you want to stop and begin playing again. There are also incremental controls that you can customize.
2、Flame
The Cydia app where you download all of your tweaks isn’t the prettiest app and it’s functionality isn’t the best either, but Flame is a jailbreak tweak that can change this.
With Flame, you can do all sorts of neat stuff, like export a list of your installed tweaks and sources, add multiple sources at once by having them in your clipboard, automatically respring, reboot, or return to Cydia, pull down on the Sources or Changes tab to refresh, and even set the default page that Cydia opens to.
3、Treadmill
While not a completely useful tweak by any means, it’s a fun tweak to have just for messing around. Treadmillsimply logs on how far you’ve scrolled on your iPhone’s screen.
The tweak tracks your scrolling in every app and adds it all up to give you a number, showing how many pixels you’ve scrolled through and what that would be in yards.
Again, it’s a tweak that won’t customize anything, but it’s definitely fun to have around.
4、Logger
If you think prying eyes are looking at your iPhone while you’re AFK, Logger is an app that can catch them in the act.
Originally developed as a way for one guy to see what his girlfriend was looking at when she would sneakily check out his iPhone, Logger takes screenshots at certain times to see what someone might be looking at.
The tweak will also log any apps that were opened so you know what someone might be checking out if they’re getting on your iPhone without your permission.
5、QuickAlarm
If you tend to set the same alarm every day, it can be a bit tedious to open up the Clock app every time and turn on your alarm. However, QuickAlarm makes that process a bit quicker and easier.
The tweak simply adds 3D Touch Quick Action options that allow you to turn on or off alarms right from the home screen by activating Quick Actions on the Clock app.
6、Meteor
The stock Weather icon has a crucial feature missing: It doesn’t show the live weather on the app icon, which is something that many users want. However, Meteor adds this capability.
The tweak can show you the current temperature, as well as show a small icon denoting the current weather conditions, like if it’s raining or snowing.
8、Activator
One of the most popular jailbreak tweaks of all time is Activator, and it's easy to see why. Activator allows you to set up automations as well as shortcuts for all sorts of different actions, like automatically turning on your alarms for the next day and even changing songs using the volume buttons.
AppDrawer
One of the best features of Android is the app drawer, where all of your installed apps appear when you bring it up. Something like this is awesome, since you don't have to have all of your apps on the home screen, and now the feature is on iOS through Cydia thanks to AppDrawer.
Browser Changer
Do you use a web browser on your iPhone other than Safari? Then it might be nice to actually change iOS's default browser to your preferred one using Browser Changer. This means that any links from other apps will now open in the web browser of your choice and not just default to Safari.
Bytafont 3
iOS 9 comes with the new San Francisco font, but if you're not a huge fan of it, you can use Bytafont 3 to change the font to whatever you want. The possibilities are endless here.
DeleteForever
Not a big fan of the Recently Deleted folder in the Photos app? While there isn't an iOS 9 Cydia tweak to get rid of the folder, you can at least bypass it altogether when deleting a photo.
DeleteForever will allow you to permanently delete photos with one swoop, rather than deleting a photo and then having to delete it again from the Recently Deleted folder.
Flex 2
Flex 2 is essentially a jailbreak tweak that allows you to create or download other jailbreak tweaks, so it's kind of a bonus jailbreak tweak of sorts.
Flex 2 allows you to dig deep into an app's code and change things around. From there, you can save the changes and give it a name, turning it into a jailbreak tweak that you can then share with other Flex 2 users within the jailbreak tweak.
FlipControlCenter
One of the greatest jailbreak tweaks for Control Center is FlipControlCenter, which lets you change around the toggle buttons and even add more into the mix for a fully customizable Control Center on your iPhone.
F.lux
Perhaps one of the most popular jailbreak tweaks of all time, F.lux is a unique one that actually addresses a health concern.
F.lux essentially changes the color temperature of your screen to a warmer tone in order to get rid of that nasty blue hue that screens emit, which can cause eye strain and mess up your natural sleep schedule.
Folder Enhancer
If you're looking for an all-in-one tweak for folders, then Folder Enhancer is the one to get. There are a lot of cool things you can do with it, like automatically close out of the folder when you launch an app, as well as change how many apps appear in one folder page.
Forcy
One tweak that gives older iPhones 3D Touch capabilities is Forcy. There are a couple of other similar tweaks, like RevealMenu, but Forcy seems to be the best one. It comes with 3D Touch's Quick Actions, Peek, and Pop.
HapticPro
One nice feature of Android is the haptic vibrations with every key tap or button press, and if you want that same feature on the iPhone, HapticPro gives you just that.
iCleaner
Want to clean out all of the junk on your iPhone? iCleaner is a jailbreak app that deletes all of the unused temporary files and cache files that build up over time from app that you've installed and even from apps that you probably deleted a while ago.
InstantTouchID
To unlock your iPhone, you have to first push on the home button and then rest your finger on the Touch ID sensor. However, InstantTouchID is a jailbreak tweak that allows you to simply just rest your finger on the Touch ID sensor to unlock your phone. No need to even wake up your iPhone first.
Live Photos Enabler
An exclusive feature of the iPhone 6s is Live Photos, which essentially turns your photos into animated GIFs of sorts, but with Live Photos Enabler, you can bring the new feature to older iPhones with ease.
LocationFaker
Whether you're wanting to keep your location private or want to bypass location restrictions in some apps, LocationFaker is an easy-to-use jailbreak app that allows you to change your iPhone's location to anywhere in the world in a matter of seconds.
MapsOpener
If you're not a big fan of Apple Maps and would rather use Google Maps as your main maps app, MapsOpener essentially tells your iPhone to open anything map-related in Google Maps, including Siri commands, which is pretty cool.
NCCards
If you're getting a little bored of the Notification Center's look and design, NCCards is a jailbreak tweak that gives the Notification Center an Apple Watch vibe when it comes to notifications and alerts, giving each one a cool card-like appearance on your iPhone.
NoPhotosCollections
The Collections tab in the Photos app can be useful, but some users simply don't use it and it can get in the way. This tweak simply gets rid of the Collections tab at the bottom and just shows the Albums tab.
PwnTunes
If you hate iTunes, but still want to move music to and from your iPhone, PwnTunes is a jailbreak tweak that lets you do this without needing iTunes.
OneTapClear
When clear out notifications in the Notification Center, you have to tap on the small X and then tap Clear to confirm, but OneTapClear is a tweak that simply allows you to tap only once on a notification to dismiss it.
QuickShoot Pro
More often than not, a photo opportunity arises, but by the time you get out your iPhone and open up the Camera app, it's gone. QuickShoot Pro makes it a lot faster to access your camera by allowing you to set a shortcut to quickly snap a photo without ever opening up the Camera app.
Safe Alarm 2
The stock Clock app allows you to set alarms, but if you want to take things to a new level, Safe Alarm 2 gives you a lot more options like fade-in volume, advanced snooze features, and even auto-shutoff after a specific amount of time.
Springtomize 3
Perhaps one of the biggest jailbreak tweaks available, Springtomize allows you to customize nearly all aspects of iOS, including hiding icons, customizing folders, and speeding up animations.
SwipeSelection
Moving the cursor in a text box in iOS is super inconvenient. Apple has made it easier in iOS 9, but a tweak called SwipeSelection is the best way to go. You simply swipe across the keyboard to move the cursor to wherever you want.
SwitchService
On the iPhone, your device will automatically send as an iMessage if the recipient also has an iPhone, but with SwitchService, you can choose to send your text messages as an iMessage or a regular SMS.
Tactful
3D Touch Quick Actions are really convenient on the iPhone 6s, but not every app uses Quick Actions. However, with Tactful, you can add this feature to Cydia to save some time when opening up the app and searching for a tweak.
TinyBar
Do you hate it when notification banners block whatever is displayed at the top of the screen? With TinyBar, all your banner-based notifications will only show in the status bar at the top of the screen, ensuring that they don't get in the way at all.
Traverse
If you like 3D Touch's Quick Actions, Traverse is a jailbreak tweak that lets you essentially create your own 3D Touch Quick Actions, even for apps that may not have Quick Actions built in.
UntetheredHeySiri
The iPhone 6s comes with an exclusive feature that lets you use Hey Siri while being unplugged, whereas older devices require that you be plugged into a power source if you want to use Hey Siri. However, UntetheredHeySiri unlocks the capability on all devices.
WinterBoard
Perhaps the best way to customize the look and feel of iOS is by using WinterBoard, which allows you to change the theme and font of iOS to something that you might enjoy better. Plus, there are a ton of themes available from all sorts of different developers.
YouTube ++
If you watch a lot of YouTube videos on your iPhone, you might benefit from YouTube ++, which is a great jailbreak tweak that adds a lot of capabilities to the YouTube app, like offline viewing, background audio, and ad blocking.
New jailbreak tweaks for iOS are being released all the time, which is great news if you are a fan of the jailbreak world and like to have new things to try, but it can often be overwhelming for those who are just getting started or simply don’t have the time or the inclination to stay on top of everything.
That’s when choice and availability start to have a negative affect, and that’s no good for anybody.
Luckily enough, though, we’re here to make sure that no worthy tweak goes unnoticed, and to that end, we are going to share ten jailbreak tweaks with you, all of which were released recently. If you’re looking for a new tweak to test-drive this weekend, then look no further.
SwipyFolders
Super-charge your folders with this tweak. SwipyFolders allows users to change the icon used for a folder, control what happens when it is 3D-Touched or swiped, and more. Ever wanted to launch an app from within a folder with a double-tap? Install this, and you can.
The tweak is available for free on the BigBoss repo.
Phenomenon
Task switchers are some of the best jailbreak tweaks around, and Phenomenon has a place on that list. Improved gesture support and control over Control Center are amongst the list of things this tweak is capable of.
The tweak goes for $2.99 over at the BigBoss repository.
IGExperiments
Ever hear about some of the new features that Instagram is testing but you never seem to have access to them? IGExperiments will let you enable things like 60-second videos and the new blank & white UI. Clever stuff.
The tweak is free on the BigBoss repository.
WAContactPicture
This tweak allows users to change the profile pictures of their friends within WhatsApp. Simple, really.
You can grab WAContactPicture for free from BigBoss.
Xgress
Play Ingress on your jailbroken iOS device because, why not?
Available for free from the BigBoss repo.
TinyPlayer Lite
A unified media player that can be activated via Activator gestures and is visible on top of apps and even the Home screen.
TinyPlayer Lite can be downloaded for free from BigBoss.
SilentMessenger
Get better control over Facebook Messenger’s privacy settings, including an option to stop the recipient from being able to tell when you are typing, disable Read receipts, and much more.
SilentMessenger will cost you $1.50 and is available from the BigBoss repository.
ThinBar
This tweak does nothing more than take the standard notification bar and make it considerably thinner. If the standard bar strikes you as too large, then this is for you.
ThinBar is free on the BigBoss repo.
SaveCloud
A tweak dedicated to making it easy to download files from SoundCloud, with downloaded tracks able to be imported into the Music app if so desired.
SaveCloud can be downloaded for free from BigBoss.
SmartBatteryPercentage
Own Apple’s Smart Battery Case? If the answer is yes, this tweak will combine both it and the iPhone’s battery into one icon on the iPhone’s screen. If both devices are charged, the screen will read 200%.
SmartBatteryPercentage can be downloaded for free from the developer’s repo at leftyfl1p.github.io.
And that’s enough for now – let us know if there are any we’ve missed and enjoy your weekend’s tweaking!
