System Requirements

Windows XP Service Pack 2 without any oracle product
RAM >=1 GB RAM
HD >= 150 GB (vision database)

Pre-Installation

1. Microsoft VC++ http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualc/download/installing uder C:/MSVC

2. Perl - http://www.perl.comPerl is needed if you are using Oracle Media Pack

3. CYGWIN http://cygwin.com/Choose following package 1) All Default2) Archive Default, plus zip package3) Base Default4) Devel Default, plus binutils, gcc, gcc-core, gcc-g++, make5) Doc Default6) Editors Default, plus vim7) Interpreters Default8) Shells Default, plus ash and tcsh9) Utils Default, plus cygutils and file

After cygwin installation completedOpen folder C:/cygwin/bin, rename followingsrename cc.exe to cc.exe.bakgrep.exe to egrep.exemake.exe to gnumake.exegcc.exe to cc.exe

Set the windows Path environment variable by My Computer properties to include the C:/cygwin/bin;C:/MSVC/VC/bin

4. Domain Name 1) Edit file c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts. Example192.168.8.88 hostname mydomain.com

2) Go to Control Panel -> Systems -> Computer Name Tab -> Click on Change -> Click on More -> Enter Primary DNS Suffix as ‘mydomain’.

3) Restart the PC.

Staging the Oracle

Unpack all your oracle CD zip file into C:/Stage12

Installing the EBS 12

Go to folder C:/Stage12/startCD/Disk1/rapidwiz

Run rapidwiz.cmd

On welcome screen -> Next and Select

Install Oracle Applications E-Bussiness 12 Check on Use Express Configuration -> Next

In Express Configuration Information screen enter the following:

Database Type = Vision Demo DatabaseDatabase SID = VISMKS directory = C:/cygwin/binMSDEV directory = C:/MSVCDomain = mydomain Oracle Base directory =C:/oracle

In case, If your system don’t pass the post-Installation checks, then restart your PC and Open Command Prompt open to staging directory c:/Stage12/startCD/Disk1/rapidwiz, just run rapidwiz –restart

Post-installation

http://hostname.mydomain:8000/

E-Bussiness Login Username = sysadmin Password = sysadmin
