从sourceforge上摘取数据,初始化模型,基于Agent模型按工作周为时间单位进行模拟。
在某一时刻,agent将会根据Utility值决定是否加入开发(to contribute)以及是否使用(to consume)
使用遗传算法优化模型参数。
0002 2012 Open source software success: Measures and Analysis
从sourceforge上摘取数据,分为两类:time-invariant / time-dependent data
a.time-invariant data: OSS license, Operating system, Programming language, Accepts financial donations, User type
b.time-dependent data: Project age, Developer scale, Subscriber scale
对subscriber(1)和developer(2)分别建立如下数学模型,进行参数拟合。
0005 2009 Evaluating Longitudinal Success of Open Source Software Projects: A Social Network Perspective
从sourceforge上收集了2006/11-2007/11的数据,共126个Project。
选择标准:
1.top rank 7000
2.more than 3 developers
3.BPSF(bug, patch, Support and Feature) tracking System
4.interactions

Part A:network Features and success
1.Project centrality will positively affect the level of project development activities.
2.Project centrality will positively affect the level of project popularity.
3.Project density will negatively affect the level of project development activities.
4.Project density will negatively affect the level of project popularity.
5.Project leadership centrality will positively affect the level of project development activities.
6.Leaders heightened participations in other projects will yield a negative effect on project development activities for projects with high leadership centrality.
7.Project leadership centrality will positively affect the level of project popularity.
8.Leaders heightened participations in other projects will yield a negative effect on project popularity for projects with high leadership centrality.
Part B:Project Characteristics and success
9A.A project with a restrictive license will be likely to achieve a higher level of development activities.
9B.A more complex project will be likely to achieve a higher level of development activities.
10A.A project written in a popular programming language will be likely to achieve a higher level of popularity.
10B.A project with a longer time history will be likely to achieve a higher level of popularity.
10C.A project targeting at end users will be likely to achieve a higher level of popularity.
