GeoEye-1 卫星照片来了 - 异常清晰

Google Earth 粉丝有福了，GeoEye 最新卫星 GeoEye-1 拍摄的高清照片已经传回，该照片拍的是宾西法尼亚的 Kutztown 大学。Google Earth 最终将采用这些照片。

Google 和 GeoEye 签有协议，独家享有在线使用 GeoEye-1 卫星照片的权利。GeoEye-1 卫星可以拍摄最小41厘米的物体，但根据美国法律，Google 最终会推出50厘米清晰度的照片。

Kutztown 大学 的照片是中午时分拍摄，当时 GeoEye-1 卫星在423英里的上空，以相对于地球表面每秒4.5英里的速度运行。

GeoEye 于今年9月6号发射 GeoEye-1 卫星，GeoEye-2 计划于2011年或2012年发射，届时其拍摄清晰度将达到25厘米。
