The first commercial Android version was launched in 2008. Since then there has
been a version release from time to time with new functionalities and bug fixes.
Each version has a code name which identifies it and their names follow an
alphabetical order. In addition, each version has an API Level which identifies it.
This number is used for the development of applications and determine their
compatibility.
