Hydrating the Sensors

Fully saturate the felt pads using saline solution . When the headset is placed on your scalp, the pads should feel wet .

Turning On the Headset

The power switch is at the rear of the headset .A light indicates when the headset is on.

Pairing the Headset
Devices with Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE):
The EPOC+ headset can pair using BTLE. Make sure that your device's bluetooth connection is turned on. The headset should pair automatically.

EPOC +耳机可以使用BTLE进行配对。确保设备的蓝牙连接已打开。耳机应自动配对。

Using an Emotiv USB Dongle:
Plug the dongle into your device's USB port .Dongles marked EPOC and EPOC+ have lights that indicate connection status. When a headset is paired, the indicator light should flicker rapidly. If it is blinking slowly or is not illuminated, reinsert the dongle and try again. You may also try turning the headset off and on again to establish a connection.

Broadcasting
The LED above the power symbol is blinking about once a seconde.

Paired

The second LED will be lit,and the LED above the power symbol becomes fainter and flickers rapidly.

Re-Pairing State

If the connection is lost, the dongle will attempt to pair again. 

The LED above the power symbol will blink slowly. The second LED will remain lit. The dongle will only pair with the original  headset in this state. T

o pair with a different headset, unplug the dongle and plug it in again.

如果连接丢失，加密狗将尝试再次配对。
电源符号上方的LED将缓慢闪烁。

Fitting The Headset
DO NOT spread the headset open to fit it. Starting from the top of the skull, gently slide the headset onto the head.The reference sensors, which are indicated by the blue arrows in the illustration, should make contact with the scalp just above and behind the ears. 
Tilt the headset so that the two lowest sensors in the front are about 3 finger widths above the eyebrows  and are positioned symmetrically. The rubber comfort pads should be positioned near the mastoid bone behind the ear.

Obtaining Good Contact Quality 
To establish a signal, it is essential that the reference sensors make good contact with the scalp just above and behind the ears. Adjust the reference sensors, holding them against the scalp for 3-4 seconds until their indicator lights are green.Repeat this step with any sensors that are not green.
If sensors are red or black, check that the felt pads are making comfortable but firm contact with the scalp. Try parting the hair or gently working the sensor underneath the hair. Press and hold the sensor against the scalp for a few seconds to establish better contact quality. If the contact quality does not improve, try re-saturating the felt pad with saline solution. Avoid dripping saline on other parts of the headset.
Although the majority of indicator lights should be green, the detections will usually tolerate input if a few sensors are orange.
