enter the world of net working programming , and be a expect of it

when i first see the subject of net work programming, i was puzzed (困惑). what is it , and how i could get through it , or just escape from it . But  i know escape from net work programming is not a good  idea, because we will use it in our 54sh Searching Engine project. With the help from my friends and from the website now i am entered the word of it. Now is the time for me to help others, to push them in, or just open the door and let them in.

For net work programming, at first, you must be femiler(熟悉?) at least one program language, no metter what language you use, c/c++ .c#.java.vb...., it all works well. (Because they all use the Socket API which provide by the Operating System, so that, you must know language is not important, but you'd better not use script language to do it).

Second, and which is important, is Socket. In linux/unix is socket, and in windows is winsocket. You can get help use "man socket" order in any unix like Operating System, or if you are using windows now, try to get help from "MSDN", or if you do not have "MSDN", you can get help online (for example, you can type "socket", and let google find it for you).

Finally, when you already know how to connect with two computers, you must know some basic things about net work, the detial about how it works, the protocols. You can get this from books and internet. And for the protocols you will get the detial from RFC document (they can be finded online easily). And the most important protocol is tcp/ip protocols, try to type "tcp/ip RFC" in google.
