Escalation Engineer (Level 3 Technical Support Engineer) inUnified Storage Division
EMC Unified Midrange Storage Group is seeking excellent candidatesto fill our Escalation Engineer (Level 3 Technical SupportEngineer) role.  Our Escalation Engineers workunder limited direction and within general practices providingtechnical expertise by independently developing and applyingsolutions to recover a wide range of complex customer issues.

Job Description
• 

Engineer level position at Shanghai EMCR&D Center
• Provide in-depth technical expertise to the EMCNetwork Attached Storage and other USD product lines
• Provide 7X24 escalation support for EMC GlobalServices Technical Support team
• Interface with corporate, field customer serviceorganization and customers in order to provide engineering supportfor the worldwide installation base.
• Produce conclusive root cause analysis forbugs/issues found in the field
• Contribute to technical knowledge base throughpublishing technical support documentation and/or providingtraining sessions.
• Become the hands-on technical expert for one ormore assigned product / technology areas
• Responsible for release management of existingcode and reviewing technical requests/issues from DevelopmentVerification Test or Customer Service
• Manage meetings with developers and DVT andinterface with customer service on specific customer issues
Requirements
• Strong English verbal and written communicationskills
• BS/MS in CS, EE or in a related discipline and2+ years of working experience.
• Strong knowledge on network technologies. CCNAcertification is highly preferred
• Available to work at extended hours orweekend
Highly desired Skills
• Experience with EMC Celerra/CLARiiON or anyother NAS product a plus
• Experience with experience with one of thefollowing operating systems: Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HP-UX, andRedHat Linux
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows serverenvironment
• Experienced on C/C++ programming and UNIXshell/Perl/Python/PHP scripting
• Ability to diagnose network traces a plus
• Prior experience as a Technical Support Engineeror Escalation Engineer a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and presentationskills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a teamenvironment
