usage

split(x, f, drop = false,...)

arguments

• x: data to be divided
• f: define the grouping

example 1

> split(1:10, 2)$`2` [1]  1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9 10> split(1:10,1:2)$`1`[1] 1 3 5 7 9$`2`[1]  2  4  6  8 10

where

For the case split(1:10, 1:10), it means split the number 1 to 10 into 10 groups.
