住宿英语全攻略

休息，是为了走更长的路。所以不管我们身在何处，是玩累了，还是逛累了，都需要找一个能歇脚、补充体力的地方。如果你有亲戚或朋友在国外，那自是最好；如果没有的话，最好能在出国前事先订好饭店。这样不但可以免去临时现找空房的麻烦，还可以腾出更多时间来游览名胜，何乐而不为呢？

Type of Accommodation / 各种住宿场所

大型旅馆 一般而言，hotel的住宿费用（room charge）比较高，从经济型每晚70美元到五星级每晚200多美元不等，完全看个人的预算及喜好而定。

中小型旅馆 原则上属于中等价位，但也有一些地方打着Inn的招牌，但里头却装潢得美轮美奂，不下于一般的hotel，所费当然不菲喽！

郊外度假旅馆 lodge多半位于风景区，费用也不会太低。

附早餐的旅店 住宿费用内已包含早餐。在英国，B&B是著名的联盟旅店。

汽车旅馆 motel专供开车旅游的人投宿，多半位于公路旁边，设备较差又欠缺管理，住宿费用不会太高。

青年旅社 收费低廉，许多国家都提供这样的住宿场所。美中不足的是，youth hostel一般而言距离市区较远，交通可能不是很方便，有些地方会有资格跟年龄的限制。

Check-in登记住宿

Scene One / 情景一

Lisa和James踏入旅馆准备登记住宿（check-in），没想到出师不利，遇到了麻烦。原来他们并没有事先订房（to book / reserve a room in advance），而碰巧的是，旅馆内所有房间都被订光了（be booked out）……

以下是James跟接待员之间的对话：

James: ……Excuse me.
詹姆士： ……对不起。

Receptionist: Yes. Good evening, sir. What can I do for you?
接待员： 嗯。晚上好，先生。我能为您效劳吗？

James: Good evening. I want...I mean I'd like a room for tonight. Do you have any vacancies?

重要句型解析

1. 表达意见时

主词 + mean (that) + 字句
……的意思是说……

He didn't express himself very clearly, but he means that he doesn't agree with you on that point.
他表达得不是很清楚，可他的意思是，他并不赞同你的那个观点。

2. 表示抱歉时

I am sorry, but + 子句
很抱歉，……

A: Do you want to come along?　（come along 追随；跟着来）
你要一起来吗？

B: I'm sorry, but my report is due tomorrow.

3. 想订房时:

I'd like to + 原形动词
我想要……

例:I'd like to reserve a single room for tonight.

4. 要麻烦别人时:

Scene Two / 情景二

Lisa和James刚到纽约就遇挫，心情十分不快，两个人在饭店大厅的沙发上休息，寻思着向他们在纽约的朋友求助。正在此时，一位叫Ruby的中国女孩也来到了接待处。听了她和接待员之间的对话，Lisa和James终于明白了他们的失误之处。

以下是Ruby跟接待员之间的对话：

Ruby: Good evening.
鲁比： 晚上好。

Receptionist: Good evening, ma'am. May I help you?
接待员： 晚上好，女士。需要我为您效劳吗？

Ruby: Yes. I'd like to check-in, please. I made a reservation a week ago under the name of Ruby Hsu, H-S-U, for three nights from tonight. And here is my confirmation slip.

Check out办理退房手续

当你打算踏上归途或是继续下一行程时，接下来就要办理退房手续（check-out）喽！退房通常是中午12点，在退房前，最重要的就是整理好你的行李，查看是否有东西遗留在衣橱？还是被棉被盖住了？当然，护照、机票也不要忘了。然后拿着钥匙到出纳处办理退房结账手续，记得要检查帐单上的金额是否正确！

Ruby: Check out, please.
鲁比： 我要退房。

Cashier: Your room number, please?
出纳员： 请问您的房间号是多少？

Ruby: Oh, the room number is 666 and here is the key.
鲁比： 噢，666号房，这是房间钥匙。

Cashier: Thank you. Did you enjoy your stay with us here?

可以帮你处理相关的住宿手续或其它问题。延长、取消或更换住宿房间，在这里都可以搞定。

Cashier 出纳

这里可以计算住宿的费用、兑换外币，也可以在这儿租用保险箱（safe/safe deposit box）。

Information 服务台

这里可以提供许多旅游资讯，也可以帮你推荐介绍，甚至是预约餐馆、剧院的门票，连叫车服务也有。

住宿期间，你可以亲自或直接拨电话到Front Desk要求以下服务:

**晨间叫醒电话

你可以说：
Excuse me, can I have a wake-up call at seven tomorrow morning?
对不起，可不可以在明天早上七点叫醒我？

**保管重要物品

你可以说：
Would you please keep the valuables for me?
可不可以帮我保管这些贵重物品？

你可以说：
